The Frankfurt Book Fair (FBF) is the biggest book fair in the world with a long history dating back over 500 years. Held annually in mid-October at the Messe Frankfurt, the last two days of the Frankfurt Book Fair is open to the public, with exclusive book sales being allowed on the last day. A week-end ticket to the fair costs €24 for public visitors.
Getting to Messe Frankfurt
Messe Frankfurt has its own train station and is just two stops from the Central Railway Station. An added bonus is that nearly all admission tickets include free travel on the day of the fair on local public transport networks such as the U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains, trams and buses!
The Frankfurt Motor Show
The International Automobile Exhibition (IAA) or Frankfurt Auto Show is the world’s biggest motor trade show. Held biennially at the Messe Frankfurt it is the star of the fair calendar in Frankfurt, drawing in almost one million visitors and automakers.
