The obvious first choice when looking for a shopping experience you could never forget, is the Dubai Mall. Being the world’s largest mall by measure of area, this monstrous building is home to anything and everything to satisfy your shopping journey, including an ice rink, aquarium and flight simulator just in case. Fashion Avenue found inside, boasts having almost every single major fashion brand in the world and there are endless dining spots and entertainment areas. If heading to the mall you cannot leave without rising up and viewing what seems to be the world at your feet at the Burj Khalifa. The entrance to the world’s tallest building is found within the shopping complex and offers you a view like no other. Be sure to book a ticket in advance and catch the wonderful Dubai Fountain dancing at its feet.
All that glitters at Dubai Gold Souk
If jewelry is your thing then head to the Gold Souk and get lost in a wave of glittering golden watches, bracelets, pendants and everything in between. As you step through walls of yellow, feeling like you found the trove of the Forty Thieves, expect to find something you like and be sure to haggle the price.
Those that prefer to buy items worth more than their weight in gold, can head to the famous Deira Spice Souk. The small passageways are packed with every spice you can imagine and each step will give you an insight into the culture of the locals.
The Walk at Jumeriah
The weather is always nice in Dubai, meaning you may want to step outside and do a spot of shopping at The Walk. Jumeriah Beach Walk is lined with quaint local stores and international chains selling a mix of handmade items and your go-to coffee from Starbucks. There are over 300 stores, cafes and supermarkets to walk among. Grab a seat and enjoy something tasty, as the waves crash in the background.
Mall of the Emirates
Want a break from the heat and try something unexpected? The Mall of the Emirates not only offers vast shopping choices, it also has its own indoor ski slopes. Carve up a bit of power after hitting your favorite stores, or if with the kids, take them to Magic Planet arcade and enjoy games and rides you have never seen before.
